VIDEO: More Calories Burned When Chased by Bear
Trying to find a way to get more bang for your buck when you’re out on your next jog? Try running through bear country like these guys.
When/if you make it back to your car, chances are you will have burned at least 50% more calories than you would have otherwise. This effect is known in the health world as “the bear burn” and it’s taking the fitness industry by storm.
I guess we have one thing to be happy about. If Bearmageddon is really going to happen, at least the world will be a fitter, healthier place right before we all die.

Bad idea. The bear is not in attack mode or the camera would have been dropped. It appears “food induced”. A fed bear is a dead bear. Once the become desensitized and expect food from humans the next person will call 911 for help! Law enforcement or Fish and wildlife will “dispatch” the bear for safety of the people. Booooo.
A black bear? Puh-leez. Not many calories burned scratching him behind the ears.
